MUSIC THEATRE LESSONS NOTTINGHAM

I offer private music theatre lessons in Nottingham. I have been teaching for over 25 years and I am based in the Carrington/Sherwood area of Nottingham.

Musicals are fantastic shows, whatever your passion you will find a musical representing it, musicals are performed worldwide by amateur and professional groups from small church halls to West End theatres.

Music theatre lessons or ‘Musicals’ as it is more commonly known differ from singing lessons because you not only have to sing a song but music theatre also involves combining dialogue, acting and dancing with your singing. The student will show his/her ability to perform a repertoire of songs for all grades, you fully immerse yourself into a character including dressing up/costumes and then use your ability to interpret a song in your own way. Music theatre lessons are a must for anyone wishing to pursue a career within the stage/theatre side of performing, students will also learn various aspects of Music Theory during the lessons as musical directions are written on the sheet music.

If you wish to take examinations I follow the L.C.M. (London College of Music) syllabus and also use L.C.M. (London College of Music) for examinations. I teach all levels. from beginner starting at Grade 1 through to Grade 8 and then on to Diploma level.

I teach all ages starting from age 5 upwards through to mature students. I offer a competitive pricing structure. Lessons are usually for 30 minutes or 1 hour. Please contact me if you require further details
